Godwin Obaseki, governor of Nigeria’s State of Edo has fired Dr. Samuel Alli, his Commissioner for Health four months to the expiration of his second term tenure.
Edo is going for another election in September 2024 to elect another governor to replace Obaseki in November.
Osarodion Ogie, Secretary to the State Government conveyed Alli’s sack in a statement on Monday.
He did not adduce any reason for the sack of the commissioner.
He simply sad Obaseki had approved the disengagement of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samuel Alli, with immediate effect.
According to Ogie, Obaseki is resolute on his finishing strong objective and would remove any obstacles that might hinder optimal service delivery to the people in the remaining four months of his administration.
He thanked Alli for his service and wished him well in his future endeavors, ordering him to hand over government documents in his possession to the most senior civil servant in the ministry.
