President Bola Tinubu on Monday presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and the National Population Commission (NPC).
Additionally, eight distinguished Federal Civil Service directors were elevated to the rank of Permanent Secretaries.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, saw 21 RMAFC members, alongside one representative each for the FCC and NPC, take their oaths of office.
The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, drawn from eight states, emerged through a competitive selection process that included written and oral examinations, as well as an ICT competency test.
Among them is Dr. Onwusoro Ihemelandu from Abia State, an optometrist and World Bank-certified procurement expert. Since joining the Federal Civil Service in 1997, he has held key procurement roles across several ministries.
From Bayelsa State, Philip Ebiogeh Ndiomu, an agricultural expert, was also sworn in. Having joined the service in 1992, Ndiomu has spearheaded major agricultural development programs, notably training over 5,500 women, youths, and vulnerable groups as Director of Agriculture at the Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

- Dr. Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi State): A medical doctor and healthcare administrator with expertise in medical microbiology and hospital reforms.
- Chinasa Nnam Ogbodo (Enugu State): A financial expert who rose to become Director of Finance and Accounts, overseeing key economic policies.
- Dr. Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State): A renowned urologist and pioneer of LASER surgery in Nigeria, with extensive contributions to medical training and surgical advancements.
- Dr. Salihu Aminu Usman (Kebbi State): An accounting and business management expert, with years of service in finance and audit roles across federal agencies.
- Patience Nwakuso Oyekunle (Rivers State): A biochemist with extensive experience in administrative leadership across various ministries.
- Engr. Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State): An agricultural engineer credited with driving mechanized farming initiatives and rural development projects.

Additionally, Mr. Kayode Oladele was sworn in as the Federal Commissioner for the FCC, while Pastor (Mrs.) Iyantan Olukemi Victoria took the oath as NPC’s Federal Commissioner.
This latest round of appointments reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to strengthening governance, ensuring efficiency in revenue mobilization, and enhancing service delivery across federal institutions.
