President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria has described the fatal accident which killed 17 people in Niger State as a harrowing tragedy.
Seventeen people were killed and many injured in the early hours of Tuesday when a truck conveying 29 people had a lone accident due to over-speeding in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.
Tinubu commiserated with the people and government of Niger State over a ghastly auto-crash, which led to the loss of many lives in Magama Local Government Area of the State.
He condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in the accident and prays for the repose of the souls of the deceased, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Tinubu described the incident as a harrowing tragedy and directed the agency responsible for emergency response to immediately move in and ensure that those injured in the tragic accident got the necessary treatment at the highest quality and with alacrity.
Tinubu implored citizens to be vigilant and safety conscious as they travel during this festive season, and always.
