The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, made a brief appearance at the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.
Arriving at exactly 10:17 am, Ajaero spent just under an hour at the facility, departing at 11:15 am after providing a written statement.
Ajaero chose not to speak with journalists gathered outside the IRT headquarters but indicated that he would address the media later at the NLC headquarters.
The visit comes after the police extended an invitation to Ajaero last week, asking him to appear at the IRT headquarters on August 20 at 10 am.
The invitation was reportedly in connection with an investigation into allegations of terrorism financing, cybercrime, subversion, criminal conspiracy, and treasonable felony.
Although Ajaero was unable to attend the initial meeting, he committed to honouring the invitation today.
Accompanying him were prominent figures including Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana, Marshal Abubakar, activist Deji Adeyanju, and several senior NLC officials.
