There was pandemonium as a helicopter crash-landed on Oba Akran Avenue, in Ikeja area of Lagos on Tuesday.
Lagos’ emergency responder agency says the helicopter crash-landed in front of the United Bank of Africa branch on the road.
Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said four people on board had been rescued alive.
He said the agency has activated its disaster response plan to the scene of the incident which occurred around 4.00pm.
According to him, “A helicopter containing two (2) persons including the pilot crash landed in front of the United Bank of Africa branch on the road.
“All four casualties have been retrieved from the aircraft alive. They have been transferred to hospital for further care,” he stated.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the area had been cordoned off and is being blanketed to prevent a secondary incident, adding that all emergency responders were on the scene.
