Another Chibok girl, Mary Nkeki, has been rescued by the Nigerian Army in Dikwa Local Government, Borno State.
She was among the over 200 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram in Chibok in April 2014, but managed to escape from captivity.
Maj.-Gen. Gold Chibuisi, Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, handed over the girl to the Women Affairs Ministry, Borno State on Monday.
According to him, the girl, with serial number 55 on the list of the abducted Chibok girls was rescued by troops of the 81 Task Force Battalion on Aug. 14 in Dikwa.
He explained that while in captivity, Nkehi was forcefully married to one Adam, a Boko Haram terrorist fighter.
According to him, since her rescue, she had undergone thorough medical examination in our medical facility.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Nkeki described her stay in the forest as full of suffering.
She disclosed that she escaped with her husband in the night before they were picked up by military patrol team, adding that two other Chibok girls were still left behind.
