In an emotional display that captured hearts, Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus showcased her vulnerable side on Thursday during a public appearance at the ‘Feed The Needy’ outreach programme held at Temidire Primary School, Shogunle, Oshodi.
The Alarmee reports that 42-year-old actress, celebrated for her dynamic personality and illustrious career, broke down in tears as she made a heartfelt appeal for prayers, revealing her deep longing to become a mother.
In a touching moment that has since gone viral, Eniola addressed the gathering with sincerity, saying, “Please always mention me, Eniola Badmus, in your prayers. I’m waiting upon the Lord for children. With your prayers and God by my side, I will continue to serve you and work towards a brighter future for our community.”
The outreach event, organised in collaboration with Seyi Tinubu, aimed to uplift underserved communities in Lagos. For Eniola, it was more than just an act of service—it was a homecoming.
The actress, who also serves as the Special Adviser to the Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Tajudeen Abass, reflected on her Shogunle roots with profound gratitude.
During her address, she paid tribute to her late father, Mr. Badmus, a two-time counsellor in the Shogunle community, who passed away seven years ago.
“My father instilled in me a deep love for our people and the importance of service. No matter how far I go, my heart belongs here in Shogunle,” she said, requesting a moment of silence in his honour.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Eniola declared her unwavering commitment to her community. “I am yours, Shogunle; I am yours, now and always,” she affirmed, solidifying her bond with the people.
While Eniola has achieved remarkable success on screen, she has been guarded about her personal life. In a 2016 interview, she revealed she was in a relationship but emphasised the importance of taking a thoughtful approach to marriage.
Over the years, she has dismissed numerous rumours, including links to rapper Iceberg Slim, singer Davido, and even a staged wedding photo that made rounds in 2015.
Eniola’s candid moment during the outreach highlighted her humanity, showcasing a woman who, despite her fame, is unafraid to share her hopes and dreams with the world.
