The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised charges against actor Noel Clarke after detectives submitted a file of evidence, the Metropolitan Police said on Wednesday.
Clarke, 50, of Kensington, was charged on 9 September with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure. The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2007 and 2016 and relate to five women, the force stated.
The charges follow an investigation that began in September 2025. A man then in his 40s was first arrested in connection with the inquiry on 25 September 2025. A file was later sent to the CPS, which authorised the charges, police disclosed.
Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 October at 10:00.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, whose team is leading the investigation, said the women connected to the charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
He urged anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police, adding that information would be handled with the utmost sensitivity and that trained investigators were available to support them.
Support is also available through the independent charity Rape Crisis via its 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line, he stated.
The Metropolitan Police urged responsible reporting in line with Attorney General’s Office guidance. Editors, publishers and social media users should take legal advice to ensure they comply with common-law obligations and the Contempt of Court Act 1981, the force added.
Clarke has been charged and has not yet entered a plea. The allegations remain unproven until determined by a court.
