The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday confirmed the resignation of the party’s chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
The NWC also confirmed the resignation of the party’s National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.
The party said Sen Abubakar Kyari, Deputy National Chairman North has taken over the leadership of the APC in acting capacity.
The new leadership has postponed the earlier National Executive Committee meeting scheduled to hold on 18th and 19th of July, 2023.
According to Kyari, a new date will be communicated in due course.
Barr. Festus Fuanter has also assumed office as the acting National Secretary.
Adamu and Omisore were said to have resigned from their position after allegations of misappropriation of funds were levelled against them.
On Monday, Kyari piloted over the National Executive Council meeting of the party.
