Nigerian DJ, producer, and philanthropist Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has shared a poignant New Year’s message with her millions of followers, acknowledging a difficult 2025 while emphasizing faith, gratitude, and the importance of expressing affection to loved ones.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on New Year’s Eve, the 33-year-old billionaire heiress wrote: “It has been a hard year and these last days have been the toughest, but I am choosing to trust that God still has a plan. As we step into 2026, tell people how much they mean to you. Say it while you can. Wishing you a hopeful New Year my Cupcakes.”
The message, accompanied by a photo of Cuppy celebrating in front of the illuminated London Eye while wearing a festive “2026” headband, quickly garnered thousands of likes and supportive responses from fans, who affectionately call themselves her “Cupcakes.”
Cuppy, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has been open about personal growth and challenges in recent years.
While she did not specify the reasons behind describing 2025 as a “hard year,” her recent posts highlight a deepened faith and focus on positivity.
Earlier in December, she shared festive family moments, including Christmas greetings, and expressed pride in consistent tithing, underscoring her spiritual outlook.
Throughout 2025, Cuppy continued to balance her music career with philanthropy through The Cuppy Foundation, which supports education and child welfare in Africa. She also celebrated professional milestones, such as awards and features in international media.
