Billionaire businessman and Senator, Ned Nwoko has alleged that his wife, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has been battling drug and alcohol abuse, which he claims has led to violent outbursts and property destruction in their home.
In a statement titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Abs ence,” Nwoko alleged that Regina’s recent conduct was fuelled by substance dependency, which, according to him, has strained their marriage and endangered their household.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko said.
The senator stated that Regina had recently moved to a location where she would have “unrestricted access to drugs,” adding that in the past 48 hours she allegedly assaulted three domestic staff and destroyed cars and windows “for no just cause.”
“I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here,” he claimed, adding that “I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehabilitation in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs.”
Nwoko further alleged that Regina failed to take their child, Moon, to the hospital when necessary and instead “threatened to kill our resident nurse for exposing her drug abuse.”
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, allegedly orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is a woman called Ann,” he added.
The senator said his primary concern remains Regina’s safety and wellbeing, urging her to continue her rehabilitation programme.
The Alarmee reports that Daniels had in a viral video accused Nwoko of domestic violence, saying that she was undergoing hell in the house.
