Afrobeats singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has died at the age of 27 from an ear infection.
His death was confirmed by Ovie Ofugara.
Ofugara, a music promoter in a tweet confirmed: “Mohbad is dead. Sad, sad day.”
He, however, said “It’s important to apply wisdom and caution when it comes to Mohbad’s demise. I’m already seeing some wild tweets. Do not make ridiculous insinuations. Be very careful.”
The Alarmee reports that a source from the singer’s team stated that he took a trip to the hospital in the early hours of today Tuesday, September 12, 2023 for treatment, after which he was administered an injection.
Nigerian rapper, Olamide, also confirming Mohbad’s death tweeted: “Damn ! Mohbad. This life.”
There was a time when Bella Shmurda said Mohbad almost attempted suicide.
Born 8 June 1996 MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos.
He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” and left the label in 2022.
He was best known for his hit singles Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK (Ko Por Ke) (( you will always be remembered)) with Rexxie which was nominated 3 times for The Headies awards 2022.
