President Bola Tinubu has appointed Louis Odion as Executive Commissioner for Operations and Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services at the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
This is contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
These nominations await Senate confirmation, as mandated by the FCCPC Act of 2018.
Louis Odion, hailing from Edo State, brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned journalist and former Senior Technical Assistant on Media to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
He previously served as Edo State’s Commissioner for Information.
Odion holds two Master’s degrees: one in Modern War Studies from the University of Buckingham, UK, and another in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Ummasalma Rabiu, aged 35, from Kano State, is the founder of the Usir Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering underserved communities through education, skills training, and humanitarian efforts.
With a degree in Business Administration, Rabiu is recognized for her grassroots political engagement, fostering inclusive governance, and advocating for youth and women’s participation in politics.
