Ademola Lookman scored the only goal of the match as the Super Eagles of Nigeria beat Angola by a lone goal to zoom into AFCON Semi-finals.
Lookman scored in the 41st minute of the encounter to after Moses Simon fed him the ball from the left flank and he scored with a terrific shot.
Victor Osimhen scored a second a stunning goal midway into the second half. He managed to win himself just enough space inside the box to meet the free kick and powered a perfectly placed header inside the right post, but it was ruled out for offside after VAR’s review.
Osimhen had another sight of goal with Moses Simon the provider on this occasion, but the SSC Napoli man’s header went straight into Antonio Dominique’s grateful grasp.
The Super Eagles did enough to overcome a plucky Angolan side that will exit AFCON with their heads held high after falling short in their aim to secure a first-ever semi-final appearance.
