The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 2-0 on Saturday to qualify for the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Ademola Lookman was the hero of the day as his brace helped the Eagles fly over the Cameroonians.
Lookman scored Nigeria’s first goal in the 36th minute of the first half after Victor Osimhen showed great vision to find him with a cheeky pass inside the box, and his first-time shot was precise and sailed into the right side of the goal.
His second goal came in the 90th minute of the encounter. Calvin Bassey found Lookman with a clever pass. He stepped inside his man on the edge of the box and whipped a tremendous shot into the right side of the goal to make it 2-0 for the Eagles.
