Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has declared Monday as public holiday for traditionalists to celebrate Isese Day.
The Alarmee reports that Isese Day is already a public holiday in Osun. It is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed.
Abiodun, in a statement on Saturday issued by Lekan Adeniran, Chief Press Secretary, praised the existing harmony among the adherents of all religions in the Gateway State.
The governor said the recognition granted Isese Day was to continue in the tradition of respecting the tradition of our people and ensure the continuation of the unity and harmony among the three major religions in the state.
