Gunmen have abducted a National Youth Service Corps member, Miss Akande Abosede Esther, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The corps member has the call up No.: NYSC/IFE/2023/201810 (Batch B stream 2).
Akande is a graduate of Education/English from the Obafemi Awolowo University.
She was reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday while on her way to the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Magaji Dan Yanusa Keffi, Nasarawa State.
It was gathered that the abductors have contacted Akande’s family and are demanding a ransom of N1m.
According to The Punch, when contacted over the development, the NYSC National Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, declined any comments.
“I can’t comment now, let me call you back,” Megwa told our correspondent Saturday night.
