Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho has called on Yoruba people to join him to liberate the Southwest from Fulani herders, saying they cannot wait for government anymore.
Igboho, who just came back into the country to bury his mother, said “I want you all to stand with me so that we can liberate ourselves from the herders encroaching on our lands. Let us mount security in all the Yoruba lands ourselves, if not, they will take our lands.”
Igboho who addressed Yoruba in a viral video during his mother’s burial, said Yoruba people should not wait for the government anymore.
He said they should work in unison to drive away the herders.
“We cannot farm on our lands because of these herders. And our people are going hungry and angry. We don’t need the soldiers the government claims to have deployed to Ekiti State,” he said.
Igboho stated that Yoruba people should work in accordance with the elders and mount the places themselves.
He said it was his mother that had been his fear all along, saying that now that she has died, he had nothing to be scared of again.
“I am now back to take back our land. I am not working for any politician. In fact, if I incidentally slapped someone, the government would be ready to arrest me and put me behind bars,” he said.
Igboho said he knew they were watching him closely to know his next action, but said he was ready to take a step to stop these marauders’ activities in Yoruba lands.
The Alarmee reports that Igboho was detained in Benin Republic for over a year before being released while he was fleeing from the Federal Government.
