President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday said his administration remains fully committed to securing new opportunities that will translate into jobs, investments, and prosperity for Nigerians, following his return from recent international engagements in Japan and Brazil.
In a message shared on his official X handle, the President described it as “good to be back home in Nigeria,” noting that every diplomatic engagement was guided by the overarching goal of restoring the nation’s pride and dignity on the global stage.
Tinubu disclosed that during his visit to Japan, discussions were centred on strengthening partnerships that would attract fresh investments in industry, technology, and human capital development.
He added that his subsequent trip to Brazil advanced cooperation in areas such as trade, agriculture, aviation, and finance, alongside meetings with Nigerian business leaders aimed at bolstering confidence in the domestic economy.
“This is the new Nigeria we are building together,” Tinubu said.
“A Nigeria built on sustainable reforms that will outlast us rather than one built on rhetoric. A Nigeria that is confident abroad, resilient at home, and determined to create value for every citizen.”
While acknowledging the difficulties posed by ongoing reforms, the President maintained that unity of purpose and the courage to press ahead with change would ultimately deliver positive outcomes for the nation.
“The journey is not without challenges, but I firmly believe the best is on the horizon,” he assured.
