The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has presented official vehicles to senior staff members within the Assembly’s directorship cadre.
This marks the second round of vehicle distributions, following a recent presentation to other senior staff, in line with the Assembly’s commitment to enhancing productivity and service delivery to Lagosians.
The recipients of these vehicles include directors and deputy directors from various departments and units across the Assembly.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the Assembly complex, Speaker Obasa emphasized the importance of the occasion, describing it as a significant milestone in the Assembly’s mission to promote efficiency, encourage hard work, and foster a conducive working environment.
“The Lagos State House of Assembly has become a benchmark for legislative excellence, thanks to the dedication and commitment of its staff and management,” Obasa said. “To maintain this high standard, it’s crucial to support our team, ensuring the Assembly continues to exemplify legislative effectiveness in Nigeria’s democracy.”
He further stated, “We aim to sustain our achievements and provide an Assembly that not only offers a conducive environment but is staffed with individuals eager to meet the needs of Lagosians through impactful legislation.”
Obasa expressed confidence that the new vehicles would enable the beneficiaries to meet official demands effectively, thereby supporting the Assembly’s broader goals for Lagos.
In response, the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko, commended the Assembly’s leadership for its commitment to staff welfare. Onafeko, who also serves as Head of Service, noted that the provision of these vehicles would enhance productivity and inspire greater passion and commitment among staff.
