At least 105 people were killed and 359 others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon on Sunday, the country’s health ministry confirmed.
The South Governorate witnessed the highest toll, with 48 dead and 168 injured in areas like Ain Al-Delb and Tyre.
According to CNN, the strikes also caused significant damage to Kana hospital in the region, the ministry reported.
In Lebanon’s eastern Baalbek-Hermel region, 33 people lost their lives and 97 were injured, with heavy damage in the Beqaa Valley. Additionally, casualties were reported in Nabatiyeh Governorate, particularly in the town of Marjaayoun.
Israel claims the airstrikes targeted Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure, accusing the militant group of using civilians as “human shields.” The intensified strikes have devastated residential areas and critical infrastructure, worsening Lebanon’s humanitarian crisis.
